As a sales representative, I am always flying around the country visiting hospitals and setting up our mobile imaging systems. During a recent trip to OKC, I was able to sit back and think about one of the essential business partners, “Delta Airlines” that help me do my job. Over the past 6 years, I have traveled quite a bit and used airlines such as Southwest, Sun Country, American and United but have always gone back to Delta. They constantly strive to be the best and it shows.
It’s About Reliability

One of the big reasons I fly with Delta, is their reliability. As I continue to fly with delta, the amount of delays and cancellations have been minimal. Although I do not have kids at the moment, it is nice to get home to the wife and pups on-time after a long week of travel. The Delta app is spot on with updates and timing, always keeping me informed. It gives me options to change flights when delays happen, information on baggage boarding and drop off, upgrade options and more. These are minor details the help make Delta my preferred choice when flying.
Delta Status
Like many other airlines, hotels and car rental companies, status definitely helps. Delta has 4 different SkyMiles achievement levels (silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond) that give you more perks or benefits. Currently at platinum I have definitely noticed the Delta love!!!! When you start off as Silver you receive a few upgrades but as you get to gold, platinum or diamond you usually sitting in comfort or first class. It makes a difference. When you are on a plane 90+ times a year a bigger seat and a free cocktail can be just what you need after a long day! In other cases such as my honeymoon, my wife and I were upgraded from main cabin to first class the entire trip. So if you are able to stick with a single airline, it can help in the long run!
Sky Miles Credit Card
One way to help gain status is by opening a Delta credit card. Currently I have the reserve card which also adds benefits like Delta Sky Club, Free bags for you and 8 others, giant point increases on purchases and more. Opening a card can help you get the MQMs (Medalion Qualified Miles) that you need to jump up a status level. You also will receive bonus miles when you spend a certain amount of money (usually around 3K). It has been a great benefit to my wife and I. She loves the pre-flight free wine in the sky club! IT IS A MUST!
Delta Sky Club

Getting to the airport for most people is one stressful event after another. I cant tell you how many times I have seen people cry and sprint to their flight or even tense up because of all the commotion. Having access to the delta sky club has definitely changed the comfort-ability of flying. Each sky club is different and provides different amenities such as massages, work out facilities, showers, cocktail bars, restaurants and more! Delta continues to make my life easier and happier as I fly! I am grateful to be apart of the Delta family!
